Back to school for festive prizes all round

Pupils at The Study preparatory school in Wimbledon showed off their artistic talent in an annual Christmas card competition organised by leading estate agents Quinton Scott. Brian Johnson, manager of Quinton Scott’s Wimbledon Village office, visited morning assembly on Thursday 6th December to present a prize to every child who entered the competition.

First prize went to Ella Hoyle (8) in Year 4 who won a trip for her and her family to see the Christmas pantomime ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’ at the Wimbledon Theatre. Ella’s winning design will be printed and distributed to thousands as Quinton Scott’s 2007 Christmas card. Runners up prizes went to Amba Hudson (10) in Year 6 and Nisha Benzynie (8) in Year 4. the_study_prizewinner.jpg

The pupils’ Christmas card designs will form a festive window display in Quinton Scott’s Wimbledon Village office throughout December. Quinton Scott is also providing the school with extra cards for pupils and staff to send to their family and friends.

Brian Johnson said, “On behalf of everyone at Quinton Scott I would like to say a big thank you to all of the children at The Study who entered the competition and put so much effort into their designs. We would also like to thank the teachers for their help in organising the competition. The high standard made it really hard for our panel of judges to choose the winners. Quinton Scott is very happy to be involved with the school in this festive project.”

Deputy head teacher Joanne Gay added, “We feel that working with local businesses like Quinton Scott benefits everyone, particularly our children. We would like to thank Quinton Scott for their £250 donation to the school which we will be giving to our selected charities for this term: the RNLI lifesaving at sea service and the Family Holiday Association for families in need.”
