In October 2006 Quinton Scott began marketing the freehold interest in a slightly neglected, mid 20th century, 2 storey, detached, 10,000 sq ft workshop and storage unit in Earlsfield's Haslemere Industrial Estate. We negotiated the terms of the disposal over a three week period.
This followed a series of competitive tenders which involved bids from a number of parties including potential owner/occupiers, neighbours and developers. Terms were agreed with a party intending to re-develop the site and retain the building within their investment portfolios.
Though the remainder of the building had been earmarked to be Let, in September 2007 an opportunity presented itself to sell the remainder of the unit to one of the initial under bidders who were pleased to have another opportunity to purchase the building in its fully refurbished form. |

After the ownership transferred, Quinton Scott successfully pitched for the sole letting/selling rights of the refurbished units. We quickly agreed a pre-let for approximately 4,500 sq ft in advance of commencement of works, which took some pressure off the owners and allowed the tenants to make an input into the design and specification of their new unit.
